ISO 15848 Balbula sa Globe nga Nagpagawas sa Pugante

The ISO 15848 standard is an international standard for the measurement, testing, and identification procedures of fugitive emissions for industrial valves, such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and hazardous substance leaks. Its aim is to control the environmental pollution risk of industrial valves by standardizing testing methods and classification systems. This standard is divided into multiple parts, with Part 1 (ISO 15848-1) focusing on the classification system and qualification procedures for valve type testing, and Part 2 (ISO 15848-2) addressing specific requirements for production acceptance testing.

Now let’s see one of our JUDU order that 3 '', CL10000,API 6A mga balbula sa globo, Chemical project’s End User need to do test to meet the 50ppm maximum emission level classification C01 in accordance wth ISO15848-1 and ISO15848-2

As per clients request,these 10 pcs mga balbula sa globo, 9pcs need to do fugitive emission as per ISO 15848-2,and 1pc need to do fugitive emission as per ISO 15848-1.

ISO 15848-1: Type testing

● Preparation:
Valves must undergo ISO 15848-1 type test design validation to ensure that they are tested under design limit temperature and pressure conditions, and to ensure that the packing is dry.

● Test method:
Using the sniffing method (refer to Appendix B of ISO 15848-1), helium gas is used as the test medium (purity ≥ 97%) to measure the leakage concentration (unit: ppmv, 1ppmv=1ml/m ³)

● Test operation:
The globe valve needs to complete a fully closed - fully open - fully closed mechanical cycle test. Verify the stability of sealing performance

●Test Result by TUV:
TUV.R inspector had witnessed the fugitive emission for 1pcs globe vales in accordance with ISO15848- 1:2017. The serial no of selecting valve was JUDU20050309, the details see below:

ISO 15848-2: Production Acceptance Testing

● Preparation:
Only applicable to valve designs that have passed the ISO 15848-1 type test, ensuring that the valve packing is dry before the test, avoiding moisture affecting the test results, tightening the valve stem seal, and ensuring that the initial sealing performance meets the requirements

● Test method:
The default test pressure is 6 bar and the temperature is room temperature.Using the sniffing method (refer to Appendix B of ISO 15848-1), helium gas is used as the test medium (purity ≥ 97%) to measure the leakage concentration (unit: ppmv, 1ppmv=1ml/m ³)

● Test operation:
Valve stem seal leakage: Measure the initial leakage after the valve is pressurized in a semi open state, and retest after 5 full open and full closed cycles to ensure stable dynamic sealing performance.
Valve body seal leakage: After the pressure stabilizes, detect the leakage at the static seal, and it is required to be lower than the ppmv limit specified in the standard.

● Test Result by TUV:
TUV.R inspector had witnessed the fugitive emission for 9pcs mga balbula sa globo in accordance with ISO15848- 2:2017, and results met the requirements, Details see below:

● Priority selection of ISO 15848-1
Valves need to be used for high-risk media such as highly toxic, flammable, and explosive fluids;
Must meet international certification requirements (such as EU CE, T Ü V certification);
During the design phase, it is necessary to verify long-term durability (such as the 610 mechanical cycles required by API 624)

● Priority selection of ISO 15848-2
Rapid acceptance is required during mass production (such as sampling at least 1 unit per batch);
The valve has passed ISO 15848-1 certification and only needs to verify the consistency of the leakage rate;
Cost sensitive and low-risk operating conditions (such as ordinary industrial fluids).
